Intermediate Program
  • The Indeterminate program is suited for skaters that have successfully completed the JR Program (or have equivalent skills) and has shown the commitment, enthusiasm and potential to excel;
  • A skater will begin in September on the intermediate/jr sessions;
  • A skater must have a head coach at this level;
  • Age Range: 9 years of age and up

Skills taught at this level

  • JumpsDouble Toe, Double Sal, Double Loop, Double Flip, Double Lutz. Axel
  • Spins: Layback Spin, Camel/sit Combo, Back Sit, Back Camel, Flying Camel 

Tests

Skaters must work with their coach in determining what tests they should be working on.

  • Skills Test:  Senior Bronze, Junior Silver
  • Dance Test:  Ten Fox, Fourteenstep, European Waltz, Keats Foxtrot, Harris Tango, American Waltz
  • FreeSkate: Senior Bronze, Junior Silver
  • Interpretive: Bronze
  • Freeskate: -  Must have passed Jr Bronze Freeskate Part 1 to enter Intermediate Program
  •                   -  Must pass Jr Silver part 1 and 2 to enter Senior Program

Competitions

A skater progressing through the Intermediate Program may compete at the following competitions at the Star 5 levels or higher.  Please work with your coach in determining which level your skater should be competing at and which competition they may want to attend.  Please refer to the link for the list of competions for the 2016 - 2017 season.  Competitions 2016 - 2017
